A rather startling advertisement for Trubenised collars for women serving in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force.
This is a vintage advertisement cut from an old issue of Punch satirical magazine, published in April 1942.
It contrasts the merits of the modern scientifically designed Trubenised collar, with the impracticality of the Elizabethan whalebone ruff.
On the reverse, is an advertisement for Andrews Liver Salts.
Good condition (see photographs).
Please note that this item is an unmounted advertisement cut from a wartime magazine (NOT an actual collar!).
The paper conforms to wartime economy standards, and it has discoloured slightly with age.
