Vintage velvet slippers Dance stage gym shoes school uniform UNWORN size 11 daps

One pair of unworn vintage girls' slip-on rubber-soled shoes.
Instead of the usual canvas uppers, they have black velvet fabric.
They are decorated with little buckles - these are just for show, they are purely decorative.
These are genuine vintage shoes, made by Columbine.
I am not sure of the date, but perhaps 1950s or 1960s?

The price is marked in pre-decimal currency.
I have been unable to trace the brand or maker (Columbine).
The insoles are marked with a picture of a ballet dancer, and the words "Columbine", and MADE IN ENGLAND.
These are flat black rubber-soled shoes, very much like gym shoes (also known as plimsolls or daps), but a bit more fancy.
The ballet dancer picture and the brand name, suggest that they may have been intended as dance practice shoes or possibly use on stage - or perhaps they were just indoor slippers.

Size: UK size 11 (children's size)
They are unsold shop stock from before decimalisation, and have been in storage at the shop for at least half a century.
They still have the shop sticker with the original LSD price (6/11).

Condition:
Unused.
These shoes were made a long time ago, probably in the 1950s/early 1960s.
They were unsold shop stock, and they are marked with the original shop pre-decimal price (6/11 - six shillings and eleven pence).
They have survived well for half a century, but there are some minor scuffs and storage marks, including spotting on the insoles, possibly due to the glue coming through.
The metal buckles have rust spots, and you will probably want to re-coat, replace or remove the buckles.
