There are no labels on this garment.
Apart from the colour, it looks rather like a riding stock bib, but could equally well be intended for casual rather than equestrian use.
The "bib" will obviously prevent the cravat from slipping and needing to be adjusted frequently.
I have not seen one quite like it before.
Paisley pattern in silver-grey on burgundy.
Each wing measures 6 3/4 inches (17 cm) across at its widest point.
Total length, from the base of the bib to the tip of the wing, is 41 inches (104 cm).
Vintage item, in fairly good condition.
This cravat has just been hand-washed.
It is clean, fresh, and ready to wear.
There is a small area (about 3 inches x 1 inch) at the edge of one wing, with about a dozen pinholes in it - presumably from a stock pin/cravat pin.
These holes do not go through both layers of the fabric.
