Vintage mittens, unused, and in beautiful condition.
These mittens are unsold shop stock from around the 1950s.
They have been properly stored in the shop, and are in very good general condition, but with one or two tiny marks from storage.
They still have some old hand-written shop labels attached, complete with old prices from the 1950s-1970s.
Please bear in mind that the mittens are about half a century old, and will need to be treated gently.
Actual width of mittens.................... 2 1/2 inches (7 cm)
Actual length of mittens...................5 inches (12.5 cm)
Size: The gloves are marked as Size 2. I don't know if this is a "glove size", or an age, or an old baby clothing size.
I would suggest dry clean only.
There are no garment care instructions.
Others have the prices marked in "decimal money" (£0.33) - so presumably they were repriced in the early 1970s, when the currency changed.
Some of them have the "old money" price on the tags - 6/6 (six shillings and sixpence).
These mittens are unsold shop stock, and they still have an old hand-written shop price on their tags.
Made in England, probably in the 1950s, but never used.
The gloves are lined with a soft lining that appears to be fleeced wool or fleeced cotton.
