Vintage 1930s boys shirt collar Van Heusen Harding Tilton Hartley 12.5"

A detachable collar for a child's tunic shirt, late 1930s.
Made in England by Harding Tilton & Hartley (the firm which later became British Van Heusen).
This is a Van Heusen multi-ply non-shrinking collar, style 11.
The address on the original collar box is Kinnaird House.
This dates the collar neatly to between 1935 (when Harding Tilton and Hartley acquired the sole rights to manufacture Van Heusen collars outside America), and 1939 (when they had moved to King's House, Haymarket).

Collar size 12 1/2 inches.

Total depth of collar (unfolded) at widest point is 3 1/2 inches

Total depth of collar (folded) at widest point is 2 inches

Note: I have several of these collars available on this listing. The photographs just show 1 of them, because they are all in virtually identical condition.

They are all marked with their original owner's name (GLENCROSS).

Condition:

These collars have just been washed, but not starched.

They are perfectly fit to wear, but they are no longer in prime condition.

They are very slightly discoloured with age - not enough to look "grubby", but they don't quite look "new" either.

There is slight wear to the fold line, and barely visible pin marks at the front of the collar, halfway up the tips.

Presumably the pin marks were from some form of collar clip or collar tips.

The collars will be supplied flat, and not starched.
