Tootal tie Heraldic lion Green cotton Unused vintage 1950s IMPERFECT

An old cotton tie by Tootal, in their Red Quality range.
Bottle green, with an heraldic printed pattern, consisting of a red lion rampant in a white shield, with a golden crown above.

This is a vintage garment, probably made in the 1950s or thereabouts.
It is considerably shorter than most modern ties - you may find the style unfamiliar at first, if you don't normally wear vintage ties.

This tie is about half a century old - it is unsold shop stock, and has been stored at the shop.
Width........... 3 1/4 inches.......8 cm
Length.................45 inches....115 cm
"Wash as wool"

Condition:

This is a vintage tie, made in the 1950s or thereabouts, but never used.

It is unsold shop stock, and has been in storage at the shop for many decades.

It is in good condition, but unfortunately not quite perfect.

There is a tiny hole a couple of inches above the tip of the blade, where the "Tootal Red Quality" cardboard tag was originally sewn on.

This tag is missing, and was doubtless pulled off accidentally at some time in the distant past.

Please see the close-up photograph.
