An old crested china miniature vase, with a square neck.
The front shows the coat of arms of the English university city of Oxford.
It has the town motto as well: Fortis est veritas.
This is Latin for "the truth is strong".
It measures just under two-and-a-half inches tall.
The base is marked:
No chips or cracks.
The gilding round the rim is badly rubbed, but the crest is in very good condition.
