Made in England, probably in the late 1950s, but never used.
These mittens are unsold shop stock, and they still have an old hand-written shop tag.
The price (23p) is marked in "decimal money" - so presumably it was added in the early 1970s.
There are no garment care instructions.
I would suggest hand-washing only.
Actual length of mittens (unstretched)............5 inches (13 cm)
Actual width of mittens (unstretched).............3 inches (7 cm)
They would probably fit a child around 6 months old.
White, with choice of white, blue or yellow pattern.
New with tags.
These mittens are unsold shop stock from around the 1950s (before the days when washing instructions were sewn into garments).
They have been properly stored in the shop, and are in very good condition, though a few have some small storage spots.
They still have the original shop label attached, complete with a decimal price of £0.23, which was presumably added in 1971 or thereabouts.
Please bear in mind that the mittens are about half a century old, and will need to be hand-washed before use, and treated gently.
