Made in England in the 1950s.
They were unsold shop stock from the 1950s, and have been in storage at the shop ever since.
The original shop price labels are still attached, with the pre-decimal price 1/6 (one shilling and sixpence).
There is a choice of sizes, suitable for very young children.
These socks are marked with SOCK sizes - this is based on foot length (in inches), and is NOT the same as shoe sizes.
As a rough guide, sock size 5 is roughly equivalent to UK shoe size 2 - 3 (baby's size).
Please remember that these are very old socks, and they are not as stretchy as modern ones.
They need to be handled with care, in view of their age.
These socks are half a century old, and if you wish to wear them, they will need to be hand-washed first.
There is no damage visible, but there may be some faint marks from storage.
The price labels have been stapled to the socks.
The staples have rusted, and may leave small rust spots behind when they are removed.
