An old crested china miniature ewer, with the coat of arms of the City of London.
It has the city motto as well: Domine dirige nos.
This is Latin for "Lord, direct us".
It measures just three inches tall, including the handle.
The base is marked with the brand name "Arcadian China", and some information about the design:
Model of Roman Salopian ewer found at Uriconium now in Shrewsbury Museum.
It is also marked "Gregory & Co Euston Road London".
I am not sure if this was the maker's name, or the name & address of a shop which sold the product.
Fairly good condition.
There is a tiny chip in one of the points of the rim.
The gilding is a little worn, on the rim.
